Curve Games Limited, including affiliates (collectively “Curve Games”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and otherwise process your Personal Data. We also explain your rights as a data subject and how to get in touch with us regarding our processing of your Personal Data. In collecting this data, we are acting as a data controller for your Personal Data.

Why we process your data (purpose of the processing) and on what legal basis

We collect personal information about you when you:

Website visits
When you visit our website, we will collect certain information by automated means. This allows us to manage our site using technologies such as cookies and web server logs.

Our web servers’ logs may log information such as your device type, IP address, operating system type, browser type, domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses, and the country and time zone where your device is located.

Subject to your consent, which you can withdraw at any time, we may use third-party web analytics services on our site, such as those of Google Analytics. These service providers help us analyse how users use the website. The information collected for this purpose (including your IP address and other information collected by automated means) will be disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers.

For the purposes above, we process your personal information on the basis of your consent (Article 6 (1a) and for the purposes of legitimate interests of Curve Games (Article 6 (1f) GDPR).

Job Applications
To process your job application, Curve Games have engaged Greenhouse (www.greenhouse.com) to assist with our recruitment efforts and to facilitate our job application processes. As part of our engagement with Greenhouse and use of the Greenhouse platform for the provision of services, Curve Games uses automated means, such as Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). As part of the job application process and submitting your Personal information through the Greenhouse platform we will collect and process all the following information:

Personal information contained in a CV/resume application and/or our recruitment template, employment history, education history, references, transcripts, such as your name, e-mail addresses, contact numbers, title, occupation, company or university education, industry, region/country, salary and, where legally permissible and depending on the country in which you apply, ethnicity, race, gender, disability status, and veteran status. Curve Games will not consider information regarding an applicant’s ethnicity, race or gender, or an applicant’s choice to decline to provide it, in evaluating the applicant’s qualifications for employment with us.

You may also share details of other people with us; for example, if somebody else referred the job to you. In those circumstances, you will need to check with that person that they are happy for you to share their personal information with us, and for us to use it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may collect some personal information about you from other sources, namely, previous employer(s), your references, recruitment agencies and from providers of services that allow us to verify the details that you provide to us. We collect as little personal information as possible during the recruitment processes; if you are successful, then we will undertake more detailed pre-employment screening and vetting.

If your application is successful, your personal information will be used in your personnel file and for the execution and termination of the employment relationship and deleted in accordance with the regulations applicable to personnel files. If we are currently unable to offer you employment, we will continue to process your personal information for up to 2 years with your consent unless you opt-out.

Social Media

You may use social media to discover a career opportunity or contact us about a career at Curve Games. We also use social media (such as LinkedIn), job boards and online sites to find and contact potential candidates for roles at Curve Games (thereby collecting some personal information about potential candidates from those sites).

If you use social media (such as Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn) and make your profile(s) visible to the public, we may review your social media profile(s). We do this primarily (though not exclusively) where it is relevant to the role for which you are applying.

Social media sites, job boards and similar online sites may have their own privacy policies explaining how they use and share your personal information. You should carefully review those privacy policies before you use these sites to make sure that you are happy with how your personal information is being collected and shared.

For the purposes above, we process your personal information for the fulfillment of (pre-)contractual obligations (Article 6 (1b) GDPR), on the basis of legal requirements (Article 6 (1c) GDPR) as well as on the basis of your consent (Article 6 (1a) GDPR).

How do we use your personal information?

How do we protect your personal data?
We are committed to taking all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. We do this by having in place a range of appropriate technical and organisational measures. These include measures to deal with any suspected data breach.

Please note however that where you are transmitting information to us over the internet this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Data Sharing
We only share your personal data with your consent or in accordance with this policy. We will not otherwise share, sell, or distribute any of the information you provide to us except as described.

We may share personal data among Curve Games affiliates who act for Curve Games for the purposes set out in this policy.
Curve Games may share your information with external third parties, such as vendors and other service providers who are performing certain services on behalf of Curve Games. Such third parties have access to personal data solely for the purposes of performing the services specified in the applicable service contract, and not for any other purpose. Curve Games requires these third parties to undertake security measures consistent with the protections specified in this policy.

We may need to disclose information about you where we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law or regulation, or if we are otherwise legally required to do so, or for investigation of fraud or other illegal activity, such as in response to a court order or legal process, or to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights or to defend against legal claims or demands
We may also share information that does not identify you with third parties, including aggregate or de-identified information.

How long do we keep your information?
We apply a general rule of keeping personal data only for as long as required to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. However, in some circumstances, we may retain personal data for longer periods of time, for instance where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, tax and accounting requirements, or if required to do so by a legal process, legal authority, or other governmental entity having authority to make the request, for so long as required.

In specific circumstances, we may also retain your personal data for longer periods of time corresponding to a statute of limitation, so that we have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges.

In the event of submitting your details for career opportunities via our careers form on our Curve Games website and with your consent we may keep your details and CV for up to 24 months for future opportunities. If you are unsuccessful for a position during the recruitment process we will remove all your personal details from our systems.

Your rights
In this section, we describe the rights and choices you have regarding your Personal Data. You may submit a request to exercise your rights in respect of your Personal Data to us per Section “How to contact us”. We will respond to your request as is required under applicable law.

The Right to request access:

You have the right to ask us to confirm what information we hold about you at any time, and you may ask us to modify, update or delete such information. At this point we may comply with your request and may ask you to verify your identity, or ask for more information about your request; and where we are legally permitted to do so, we may decline your request, but we will explain why if we do so.

The Right to request rectification:

You have the right to request from us rectification of any personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete

The Right to object:

If we are using your data because we deem it necessary for our legitimate interests to do so, and you do not agree, you have the right to object. We will respond to your request within 30 days (although we may be allowed to extend this period in certain cases). Generally, we will only disagree with you if certain limited conditions apply.
